Sphère Média Plus Productions Receive 21 Nominations for the 32nd Annual Prix Gémeaux Awards Gala

Sphère Média Plus is delighted to acknowledge its 21 nominations for the upcoming Prix Gémeaux awards gala. L’imposteur (9 nominations), Trop (7 nominations), Mémoires vives (4 nominations) and Mirador (1 nomination) are among the productions that have made this year’s list of nominees.

Nominated in the Best Dramatic Series category, L’imposteur is also in the running for Best Director (Yan Lanouette Turgeon), Best Director of Photography (Jonathan Decoste), Best Music and Best Musical Theme (Ramachandra Borcar), and Best Casting (Pierre Pageau and Daniel Poisson). In addition, actors Marc-André Grondin and Marie Brassard have received nominations in their respective performance categories. The excellence of the scripts written by Annie Piérard, Bernard Dansereau and Étienne Piérard-Dansereau has been recognized through their nomination in the Best Screenplay category.

After winning audiences’ hearts this spring, Trop has received nominations in the categories of Best Comedy Series, Best Director (Louise Archambault), Best Screenplay (Marie-Andrée Labbé) and Best Set Design (Carolyne De Bellefeuille). The immense talents of actors Evelyne Brochu, Virginie Fortin and Éric Bruneau have earned them nominations in the categories of Best Actress/Actor in a Lead Role – Comedy Series.

Mémoires vives
Actress Marie-Thérèse Fortin, whom audiences have loved watching in Mémoires vives for five seasons, is in the running for Best Actress in a Lead Role – Dramatic Serial. Also nominated in performance categories are the wonderful Catherine Renaud, Alex Vallée and Pier-Luc Funk.

The critically-hailed final season of Mirador has received a nomination in the category of Best Actor in a Lead Role – Dramatic Series, for David La Haye.
