Marie-Claude Poulin joins team as Producer, Feature Films and Fiction

Sphere Media is pleased to announce the arrival of Marie-Claude Poulin as our new Producer, Feature Films and Fiction.

With 18 feature films to her credit, Marie-Claude Poulin founded MCP Productions in 2016. Through that company, she produced high-quality Quebec, Canadian and international features. She also created a division to produce content for television. Over the years, Ms. Poulin has collaborated with established filmmakers, emerging talents, and producers from Quebec and elsewhere. Films that she produced or collaborated on have received a multitude of nominations, winning numerous awards locally and abroad, and have been included in several major festivals (Berlin, TIFF, Sundance, Venice). Her latest feature, Tempête, co-produced and directed by Christian Duguay, will be released in France and Canada in 2022.

Café de Flore (directed by Jean-Marc Vallée) was selected for Venice Days and received numerous award nominations in Canada and abroad. Rebelle, directed by Kim Nguyen, was an Oscar nominee for Best Foreign Film in 2013, and won the Genie and Jutra awards for Best Feature Film of the year. Brooklyn (John Crowley), which she co-produced, received three Oscar nominations, including Best Picture.

Ms. Poulin sits on the board of directors of the Quebec Bureau of Cinema and Television. She has also served as an invited member of the jury and panelist at numerous cinema events in Canada.
